The ICE Futures US exchange plans to bring the curtain down on an era in New York commodities markets by ending open-outcry trading on its floor this year.
The bourse, formerly the New York Board of Trade, is the main venue for US futures and options on cocoa, coffee, cotton, orange juice and sugar. A predecessor was the scene of the frenzied climax to the 1983 film Trading Places.
