- In reaction to strong earnings/guidance: EJ +20.2%, AZPN +13.7%, BYI +1.1%.
- M&A news: NTSC +37.5% (Systems to be acquired by Aurora Capital Group for $23.00 per share).
- Other news: MNKD +3.3% (satisfies conditions for second tranche of convertible note financing), AMRN +2.9% (Amarin trading higher; presented yesterday afternoon at Canaccord Conference, hearing discusses Lovaza and Vascepa), GMCR +1.9% ( to join the NASDAQ-100 Index beginning Aug 22), SAN +1.8% (still checking).
- Analyst comments: SRPT +8.5% (being attributed to analyst comments suggesting SRPT eteplirsen is more favorable than Glaxo/ Prosensa (RNA) drisapersen ), P +5.8% (upgraded to Buy from Neutral at Goldman, also hearing positive JPMorgan comments ahead of earnings), MZOR +1.1% (initiated with a Mkt Outperform at JMP Securities).
- In reaction to disappointing earnings/guidance: FMD -38.2%, JOSB -9.8%, JWN -3%, DTSI -2%, AMAT -1.2%, (Names Gary E. Dickerson as Chief Executive Officer; Michael Splinter to Serve as Executive Chairman).
